My current series, “Conversations," examines instinct, the primal self, and the way in which humans try to connect. Some of the figures take on simian and animal-like characteristics; some are barely distinguishable from the background; and some figures are clearly engaged with one another. Technically, these paintings reflect a conscious shift into a more dynamic, loose and spontaneous workflow.
